I just gave birth to my second baby 2 weeks ago, and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Morning Glory Childbirth Services. The prenatal care was outstanding, the labor/birth was calm and peaceful, and I’ve felt so supported through the postpartum period. Christine is knowledgeable, professional, thorough, compassionate, and has an excellent bedside manner. If we have any more children, I definitely will want her to deliver them. Christine was such a blessing to my little family. In a time of great stress and uncertainty, she created an atmosphere of comfort and confidence. We are a military family and this was my 3rd baby and 2nd home birth. No matter how many births you’ve been through, you always get to that point when you don’t know if you can to push on through the exhaustion and pain. Christine, Juliann, and Anastasia were a dream team of support for me and my body doing what it was made to do. The birth was all I could have hoped for! My prenatal care was outstanding, compassionate, and extremely thorough in ensuring safety for both me and my baby. I no longer live in the area, but if I could, I would move back in a heartbeat just to have her as my midwife for any other babies. Her passion and wisdom are so evident in her care for her patients, and the friendship that was forged through the experience is one of the highlights of our time in Georgia. Thank you for all you have done for us! Kristen I hired Christine for 2 of my 3 pregnancies. The first one I had a successful homebirth and even though I hemorrhaged severely, Christine was able to stop the bleeding and keep my vitals up. My second pregnancy was a little different, about half way through my pregnancy I had severe preterm bleeding after having sex. After calling Christine she told me to go to the hospital and tell them it is most likely placenta previa. I spent almost 18 hours in the hospital with no answers until they finally did an ultrasound. I was told I didn’t have placenta previa and sent on my way. When I told Christine, she immediately said that didn’t seem right and had me go for a second opinion. The second opinion said the same thing and said it was just a fluke that I had preterm bleeding. A few weeks went by and I started bleeding again, Christine immediately sent me to the high risk OBGYN she works with and after a vaginal ultrasound I was told I had placenta previa and that I would need a c-section. Christine is not only an amazing midwife but she is a great advocate for you if something occurs that is outside of what she can handle. I’m so thankful I was able to have a homebirth and Christine was able to stop the hemorrhaging and that she advocated and fought for me to get answers for my preterm bleeding with my third pregnancy so that I was not put in a dangerous situation during delivery. My family and I had a wonderful experience with Morning Glory Childbirth Services. From the initial zoom meeting to discuss my medical history and confirm that I was a good candidate for a home birth, to including my older children in each appointment, we truly felt cared for and heard. Christine and Juliann are respectful of each family’s medical choices and are nothing but supportive. The prenatal care, the delivery itself, and the postpartum care for both me and baby were unmatched. Kindness and professionalism abound, and it is evident that they both love what they do. They helped make our first home birthing experience unforgettable, and if we are ever blessed with another pregnancy, they will be the first we call! Christine has been a part of our childrens births for over 19 years now and she always went above and beyond to meet our needs. We were blessed to have her as our midwife for the last two babies and I'm so thankful we did! The 1st was rather uneventful ( although still alot of work for her and the assistant) but the second another story. My son had shoulder distocia which Christine quickly and skillfully addressed. In addition, he had respiratory distress. Christine and her assistant showed professionalism and calmness through the entire situation. My family and I are extremely grateful for Morning Glory Childbirth services. |
